1st Announcement

The  53rd Annual  Conference  of the  South African Institute of Physics (SAIP) will be held from Wednesday,  9 July to Friday, 11 July 2008,  at the University of Limpopo.
The conference will run from Wednesday morning to Friday late afternoon followed by the conference banquet during the evening.

The conference will be preceded by a one-day Winter School  which will be held on Tuesday, 8 July 2008. The winter school will be of interest to all post-graduate students and Physics researchers.

The aim of this conference is to present a forum for interaction between physicists from South Africa as well as other African countries and from abroad who are engaged in applied and pure physics research and teaching. Furthermore, post-graduate students will be exposed to a variety of research activities in Physics. The conference serves a platform for the interaction between SAIP members and non-members, the dissemination of new information on physics, and the presentation of research results.

Further Information will become available in the second Announcement in the beginning of March.

You can download the 1st Announcement in pdf format (right-click link and "Save Target As..."). And here yo get the 2nd Announcement
