Art Science Competition
WiPiSA and MAZI are proud to present The Art of Science Competition: an opportunity for school students to express their love for science through art, and win exciting prizes!
The Art of Science Competition is a collaboration between WiPiSA and Mazi Asset Management and is open to South African School students from Grade R to Grade 8. Students are encouraged to show their love of science through expressive artistic mediums. As creative expression can take on many forms, we welcome a variety of artistic media: ranging from video, music, writing, drawing, photography, and more.
Science categories are very broad and the applicants can choose where their passion lies for science from nanotechnology to stars or human behaviour. Areas might include our natural world (biology, geology, geography) astronomy, human or animal behaviour (biology and psychology) people and place (geography), chemistry or physics.
THE SCHOOL WITH THE MOST PARTITICPANTS STANDS TO WIN A LAPTOP TO THE VALUE OF R5000 SPONSORED BY MAZI ASSET MANAGEMENT!!
There are 3 categories of school categories:
Apprentices (Grades R-2)
Interns (Grades 3-5)
Masters (Grades 6-8)
On behalf of its learners, a school can make a submission on the submission form, found here Please ensure you submit a new form for each category, e.g., different submission forms for grade R-2, grade 3-5, and grade 6-8.
There will be 3 winners in each category, and at the bottom of the web page, there is a link you can click that will take you to where you should apply. Only complete the form once your artwork is ready and can be uploaded or shared.
Competition details
Entries open: 11 April 2022
Entries close: July 29, 2022.
Eligibility: Grade R to Grade 8 South African school students
Stipulation: One entry per applicant only
